More About Richard
Richard Wilson received a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree cum laude in organ performance from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, where he was the university's commencement organist in his senior year. He earned a Master of Music degree in organ performance from Winthrop University, then later his Ph.D. in musicology from the Eastman School of Music.
He was the Director of Worship and Arts at Forest Hill Church for 14 years, then started helping Forest Hill plant daughter churches, starting with Warehouse 242, and then Threshold Church.
He is a former adjunct professor of music theory at Winthrop University and the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
In his current role as a Regional Director for Communitas International, his focus is to identify, develop, and equip leaders, build teams and help determine strategies to effectively mobilize church planting in Europe.
Richard is husband of Beverly and enjoys good food, good conversation, reading and running half marathons.
